Explore the conditions CarWhisper can consider when a recording contains a useful acoustic clue. Each entry shows what may be heard, where to record, and what still requires inspection.

Start with the sound. Keep the cause provisional.

A squeal, knock, hum, or rattle can narrow the conversation, but different components can sound alike. “Sound-checkable” means the recording may support a hypothesis. It does not mean a fault can be confirmed by phone audio.
